Because of some erosion and general asthetics, I have built a cinderblock retaining wall. The wall will be about 4 cinderblocks high for the majority of it however there is a 32 inch wide area that will only be 1.5 cinderblocks high. At this point I am looking to put in stairs that will need to have a run of 8 ft and a rise of 4 ft. Basically my question is not how to build the stairs, but how to attach the base of a wood staircase to the top of a cinderblock. I know there are masonry screws thsat may work but wasnt sure if they would stand up to the wear and tear of stairs. Thanks for any help

An option could be to install a piece of treated wood along the top of the wall with masonry anchors. Then, attach stairs to wood. How do you plan to attach the other end of the stairs?
