:o [FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Hi! My hubby is a garbage fanatic. He found this tv on the side of the road and had sticker that said volume didn't work. Looked like it was a yard sale item. Anyway, turned it on, nothing. Well, after some work he got everything to work except the volume Changed out the speaker in tv and still doesn't work I said let's ask a forum. So, anyone out there can help??????:)

Check for a button in the back that is used to turn off the sound. I had a tv with this option once. small push in and out putton in the lower back. If it has an Audio/video connector check to see if it is bad - sometimes the kid's video games ruin the A/V and can cut off the sound or in my case the picture keeps going out. If this doesn't work and you don't find any other solution - drop it off the tallest building you can find. Thanks, The Ladyfixer.

Some tv's also have auxillary jacks for external sound....if he uses a patch cord from the tv to, let's say, a stereo does the sound work then?
