I have to vent my microwave exhaust up through the roof (attic above). Is there any place on line that I can buy this cap? Also what microwave offers the best exhaust capability. Thanks

The last one I installed I got at the orange big box store. It was a downward facing exhaust cap with a 4" neck on it. It will fit under the shingles, so be ready to remove a couple of them in order for a good fit.
As far as which microwave exhausts best....they all use the same size motor and squirrel cage for the most part, so one may not be better than the other. Check the specs on each one for the output in cfm.

Most M/W exhausts are rated at 300CFM.
The vent adapter on the appliance is a 3-1/2X10". if you are transitioning to round, use a 3-1/2X10 to 7", don't restrict the flow.
The roof-jack is called a "T" top and are available at most big boxes, harware and lumber yards, also at;http://bestmaterials.com/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=499
