If the cover of the cushion is removable you may want to remove the cover and inspect the cushion for damage. If the couch is inexpensive and of course depending on the material of the couch...you may just want to hand wash JUST the area effected of the couch as a test or blot with a rag using cold water. The cover of the cushion is not really going to hold the milk..its the cushion. If the cushion is soaked...really the only thing you can do is take a trash bag big enough to fit the cushion in and use a quality shop vac..here is how to do it..

place cushion inside the bag...run some hot water onto the cushion..turn shop vac on and place the open ends of the bag around the hose forming a vaccum seal...and this will help pull the water and hopefully the milk out of there...you may then want to put the cushion in front of a fan or sit in the sun to dry.

100% removal of anything from a sponge type material can never be guarenteed

if the cushion is unremovable..you may want to apply water to the area and then use your shop vac to pull the water and hopefully milk back out of the area..and again set in front of a fan...a enzyme based cleaner can help, but be careful as most uph contains organic fibers which can be damaged by that type of cleaner..

always test any diy method in a small or hidden area first

when in doubt contact a carpet and uph professional in your area

First check upholstery for manufacturer's cleaning label. Some upholstery can not be cleaned with water or water-based cleaners and must be professionally cleaned. Always test any cleaner in inconspicuous place first for ill effects. If in doubt, contact a professional cleaner.

Enzyme cleaners are recommended for milk and other organic stains and odors. Enzyme cleaners can not be used on silk or wool because they are organic fibers.

Cleaning upholstery poses a particular challenge because you can clean the upholstery fabric but not the stuffing or padding beneath where spills are absorbed downward and outward. It is not recommended that cushion covers be removed and washed because because covers tend to shrink. If unable to clean cushion and eliminate odor, an option is to replace the cushion.
