Hi:
Applying laminate to the bottom stair with 2 exposed sides: that is, 2 rounded edges. I guess I'll need stair nosing on the 2 sides, with 45-degree cuts joining the two nosing.

My question has to do with the laminate on the tread. A laminated plank has a tongue on one side, but each of the stair nosing will have grooves. Will the side nosing just butt-join with the tread laminate piece?

Hope this is clear.

Thanks.
