I am attempting to install vinyl shutters on the front of my house which happens to be brick. I understand it is a difficult task to drill into brick, but it seems as I am getting nowhere slow. Are there any miracle products or secret tricks to this? I bought the special bits for brick also.

You really need a hammer drill. You can rent one at HD or local tool rental place pretty cheap.

You should drill into the mortar if possible.
Easier drilling and not likely to crack the brick.
