went to wash the floor before we head out Thursday and noticed black spots everywhere on the vinyl. Have tried orange cleaner, ajax, and camper cleaner but it won't budge. If I scratch it with my fingernail nothing comes up. Is the floor deteriating? This just started as we bought this tt in March and they weren't there. What is causing this, floor just looks dirty! Help!!

What shapes are the spots in? Are they consistent with waterpools? If nothing has been spilled on there that may have damaged the sheet vinyl.... I would guess there has been some sort of subfloor water damage. I have seen sheet vinyl do this when water has gotten underneath the sheet. The backing is usually felt...the felt soaks up the water and it appears as black spots from the surface. Removing the sheet and replacing and cleaning subfloor and repairing the water problem..if this is the case..

If there has been spills...
Rinse the floor with cool water serveral times...dilute some pinesol type floor cleaner to the reccomended levels...apply to the areas and let sit 10-15 mins then rinse with hot water. The high pH of the pinesol...SHOULD break down any soil on the surface allowing the water to lift....If that doesnt work...rinse floor again..and switch to solvent based cleaners...Try mineral spirits applied to a rag...Always rinse between attempts

Good luck

Moisture issues beneath vinyl can cause discoloration. Contamination of subfloor or the use of old or improper adhesives can also cause discoloration. Check your warranty. If this was not a DIY installation, contact retailer and/or installer.
