Hi guys,

I have made my own t-Bar ceiling using approx. 43 x 43 inch gyproc panels. My question is, will these panels eventually sag if I put unsupported recessed lights right in the middle of these panels?? I don't have much room above and I now have the panels all finished and installed and don't really want to remove the panels. The electrical wire is just hanging there and all I have to do is cut the circle for the light and install. Will the panels sag over time? Anyone ever done this??

Thanks,

Rick:confused:

I just watched a program on TV where new construction recessed lights where installed on the T-bar for an application just like yours.

The end of the light supports, where the nails are/go, were shaped so they would slide over the T-bar. Then I believe the electrcian just used a self tapping screw to hold it in place.

Might have trouble finding recessed lights with supports that will span 43".
