I signed a purchasing contract with a builder for a new construction in the summer of 2004. Paid 10 percent in June, 2005. But the project dragged on and on with various reasons. Its foundation has not been even laid. I could not wait any longer. Can I transfer the contract to somebody else to get my money back, plus some extra dollars? Builder is more than happy to return the money to me with no bank interest, so that they could resell it at a higher price.
