I bought a repro screen/storm door latch to use on a new screen/storm combo door but no instructions on installing. Looking for some simple step by step instructions to install this type of door hardware.
Any help appreciated.

Hard to give you any specifics w/o knowing more.
Is this a surface mount unit? Typically needing a few small holes through the door for mounting?
Generally speaking, you will need to transfer the measurements from the hardware to the door. Hold the latch where you want, make sure it will not hit/interfere with the entrance door hardware(protruding and operating if levers). This will be your vertical mounting height.
If is has a surface mount strike, position this, then determine how much clearance the latch will require to operate properly. This will be your horizontal mounting measurement.
Before drilling, double check position of strike and latch to make sure they are clear of other hardware when main door is closed.
