Air Conditioning - How to seperate drain pan from coils?

I have a Trane AC unit in my basement. It has 2 pvc pipes coming from the drain pan, leading into a T, then running about 15 feet to the drain pipe in the floor. My AC is putting a TON of water on my carpet. I would like to clean my drain pan and lines before calling in the pro, who will clean and drain my wallet. I can't see any way to remove the drain pan from the coils. Is there a way? Do I need to start cutting PVC?

Filter clean??? coil clean???? Is water comeing out of pipe?? suck and blow with a shop vac in to the drain line. Cut the pvc pipe . Put it back with a pvc coupling Any ice on the copper lines?? At outside unit big copper pipe cold and wet small pipe warm???? Is this on a furnace or a blower power coil like a heat pump??

It's a heat pump. I sucked the drain end with a shop vac, didn't get anything major out of it. Just a little water and some goop. I didn't really check anything outside yet, and I can't see where the water is coming from, and I looked around pretty well. That is the part that frustrates me, I can't locate the leak. I can't even see a drip, but there sure is alot of water on my floor.

How old is the unit? heatpump is there a P trap in the drain line by the unit???. Did you take door off and check the drain pan see if its clean.

I assume the unit is 10-15 years old. Yes, there is a P-trap right outside of the unit downstairs. I can't figure out how to get access to the drain pan (Thus the title of this post) to clean it out. I did attach a ShopVac to the drain end of the pvc and I got a little goop out of it. I'm not sure if I totally solved the problem. There seems to be a constant drip of water out the drain now, but my carpet still seems damp.

What next?

Have U taken the front door off of the blower coil unit there???? That should let you see some of the pan and coil.

I've taken it apart about as far as it gets without removing the coil from the main unit. It seems as though the pan is attached to the coil. As it is, I can only get the very tip of my finger in the far end of the pan, not nearly enough to do any type of cleaning.

Pour some water in the pan right inside there and see how it goes out the drain. Heatpump you do see the top of the A coil dont you????

The coil sits in there at an angle with the top being closest, and the bottom being back against the back wall of the unit. I don't really see a way to pour any water into the pan, without making some soft of small hose running into it. I really have no access to the pan. I can put the tip of my pinky finger into a small opening, but that's about it.
