Hello!
Just bought the house, and realized the outside AC unit always runs.I removed the electrical cover on the outside unit, and I figured out somebody put a piece of foam between the cover and the "switch",so that kept it running. If I remove the foam the AC can't turn on.Question:shuold I replace that switch?
/switch is on a panel, wires go in and out,and a coil on the back of the panel/
Thank you

Do you know electric??? Id say take a meter and see if you have 24V there at the coil on the contactor If so replace the contactor. Anytime the outside unit is on make sure the inside fan is running.
ED;)
