Hi guys, I'm new to this but hopefully someone can help. I was on a bus and unknowm to me, someone had put chewing gum or bubble gum on the seat:madhell: , very cleverly the gum was almost the same colour as the seat so i didn't notice it. I got off the bus only to be told i had gum on my white linen trousers and on my cotton top. Does anyone have any ideas as to how i could get it off? I'd be really grateful.

There are commercial freeze-off gum remover products available. You can also put ice in baggie and hold on gum to freeze and scrape off with dull knife or spoon. Then, any remaining residue can be blotted from outside stain toward middle to prevent spreading with white rag and solvent cleaner such as rubbing alcohol, denatured alcohol, or dry cleaning fluid. Always blot; do not rub fibers.

Hi guys, I just thought I'd let you all know that i solved the chewing gum drama. I didn't freeze the chewing gum but did scrape as much off as possible, then i used clear nail varnish remover :thinker: to dissolve the rest. I then put my trousers through a normal wash cycle and the stain is now gone!!!
