First of all, I am a newbie.

My brother-in-law gave me his 1995-1996 Toshiba TP50F90. He has told me that all that needs to be replaced is the picture tube. If you push the power button, it turns green for a split second then constantly blinks red. (No picture, no audio)

He upgraded to a plasma TV. Infact, the guys who came to deliver the new TV said that all that needed to be replaced was the picture tube and that my brother-in-law could do it himself for about $150.00 for the part.

He said that the last time this happened, a guy came out and changed the picture tube (about 200-300 dollars). I would like to do this on my own......Can anyone help?

Any advise would be appreciated.
Dan
