Ok I know what you A/C guys are going to say.
YOU HAVE TO BE LICENSED TO DO THAT!
Ok already I am licensed and I have a mac #
I think that is what it is called,my card is in my
tool box at work.
I do ac work on long haul trucks at work but all the
units take a pre determined amount of freon so it
says on a tag on the units how many pounds the
system takes.
meanning that I have a A/C machine at work that
has a scale. So I just enter a pound amount and
hit the go button and in goes the freon.
So my question is,I have these little cans of freon
that I am putting in and I want to know if I need to
put them in with the unit running. And if it needs to
be running will it suck the freon in.
Thank you
Doug

Ah, but at work you are probably Section 609 certified. On your home A/c you need to be Section 608 Type 2.

I think if you where EPA you would know this. But just for kicks. yes you have to have the unit running to put the freon in. On the low side. And you dont put it in by pounds when you have some gas in it. Use the sight glass.or gauge:wall: :wall: What you use on the trucks should be R134 and at home is R22 dont mix them

ED:rolleyes:
