My compresser fan quit and have been unable to get exact replacement from Grainger, they have given me a new motor which they said will work.

Old Motor: HP 1/5
Emerson 3798
Voltage: 208 - 230
RPM: 1075
Hz: 60
AMP: 1.1
Phase: 1

New Motor: HP 1/4
Dayton
Voltage: 208 - 230
RPM: 1075
Hz: 60
AMP: 1.5
Phase: 1

With new capacitor.

Do you think this will be ok as replacement?

It should be just fine as long as you are not already critical with your amps. The extra .4 amps shouldn't be a factor.

As long as the rotation and speed is correct, the fan will mount properly on the shaft without hitting anything, and the motor mounts properly, it should work.

The only diff I see is the HP its higher in fact that can be better. It will only draw .04 of a amp more.

Results with your assistance:

I was a bit confused with the wiring.
Saw that the Capacitor installed was a dual (for comp and Fan)

Have wired up fan with its own capacitor.
Left the dual as it was with only compressor connected.

Unit is working fine and cooling, compesser fan good and strong.

Hoping this arrangement is okay?

Thanks for all your assistance, without it would have been lost.
