Hi all,

Ok, I know nothing about the parts and terms central AC uses, but I'll try my best to describe my problem. The unit outside the house is operating(spinning) every time I turn the AC on. It just he unit up in my attic is not starting. There's a 5 second hum after I turn on the AC, then stop. Before this happens, there was an incident that the unit despensed a burning smell from the attic. I turn it off immediately and that was the last time it was working. I opened up the unit case and I can see the cold condense air is available it just the motor is not blowing the cold air to the house. So what could be the problem? Did my motor blown or some other parts? Oh and I think the primary draining pipe is stucked and was using the secondary one now. Do you think it has anything to do with the malfunction?
Any suggestion is good at this point thanks

Dont think so .But for sure clean it out witha shop vac blow and suck on it

Sure sounds like its the blower motor there. Put new one in with new cap also. Look at board if you have one in the unit there in the attic. See if its ok .
Dont run out side unit with no fan inside. Turn power off before you go into the attic unit:eek:
