I need a t-stat for a attic fan that can be hardwired to my makeshift one. I can't find one on the online hardware stores, ANY body have an idea where I can check on line does the DIY store carry this part.

Any box store or hardware store should carry an attic fan thermostat.

I couldn't find one on DIY's site but HD has one on theirs. Go to building supplies/ventilation.

Ok couple questons Do you know If it can wired to the capaciter of the box fan moter (yes it has one its a small think hard plastic box with 2 wires coming from it and is near the moter) if I hardwire it to that would it work or do I hard wire it to the power cord but cutting and splicing it to the 120 volt power cord. If this won't work than WOULD the one I posted under the title would this work work. heres a link to the one at the DIY store

I guess either on would work for what you're doing. You could always return it if you were not happy.
