NEVER MIND I FOUND THE ANSWER ELSE WHERE.
Grout sealers come with good instructions for applying the sealer on fresh/new grout but I can find nothing on "RE-SEALING" of OLD grout.
My bathroom tub/shower surround grout was originally sealed about 4 years ago with TileLab penetrating sealer. The grout has recently begun to show some small areas of mildew. I can easily clean this mildew off but what is the correct way to "Re-Seal" the grout after it's been cleaned???
On new grout sealing jobs the manufacturer empahasizes that the grout must be thorougly dry (10 days or so) before it is sealed. In cleaning my old grout; it's going to get wet during the cleaning process. Additionally, we have three people using the shower on a daily basis - so the tile is going to be wetted some more.
MY QUESTION IS: Can I "Re-Seal" the cleaned grout while it's wet from cleaning &/or shower use? Or must I wait some period of time before it can be done? If so, how long? Are there any "work-arounds" or "tricks" to keep the grout from getting wet when the family does it's bathing?
Some help with this subject will be very much appreciated.
