I just replaced my carburetor on my John Deere snowblower. I still have the old one and would like to clean it up to have as a spare. What is a good parts cleaner I can soak it it? I work as a chemist at a small college and have access to some good solvents. Carbon tetrachloride comes to mind, but it is fairly toxic.
Is there something comercial I can purchase?
Thanks.

I find Berryman Chem-Dip works well. Go to berrymanproducts.com to check it out. Have a nice day. Geo

Berrymans works. I think the best all around is the Napa brand.
