Hello,
I just purchased a new pull chain switch for a ceiling fan light
and need help figuring out the wiring. Coming down from the main housing are blue and white wires. The new switch has red, blue and black wires. Normally this would be easy but the old switch had purple, yellow and blue wires, lol, so I could not follow what was done before.
There are 2 light switches in the room that control the ceiling fan, and I want to be able to turn the ceiling fan light off with the pull chain and continue to run the fan.
I recently completed work on 2 other fans in my house but those were simple as the wiring colors were the same.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
