This looks like the best spot online for such a question:
My Uncle is currently working on a home restoration and has made his way to the fireplace, and encountered a hard-to-find item for the chimney: a discontinued Duravent stainless steel pipe. The specs are as follows:
Triple Wall
10" inside diameter
15" Outside
I believe the part # was 10 W-P
By any chance, is there anyone out there that might know where I could locate such a piece, or a suitable replacement? He was informed that an adapter to a smaller size pipe would likely void his homeowner's insurance, so that idea was scrapped. He only needs a 12" (yes, one foot) length of it.
I've tried Simpson (owner of Duravent) directly, and they have no idea how to get it. About 20 failed Google searches later, I'm stumped. Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

We've tried tons of fireplace specialists. The problem is not really finding the triple wall, but finding the same type. I guess chimneys have progressed like everything else: they've gotten smaller and better. I've found a product that is triple wall thickness, and has a 10" inner diameter, however the outside diameter is no longer 15", its closer to 13".
I believe at this point our best option is to go with the matched inner diameter and look for a collar of some type to mate the two pipes so that there is no "stair step" along the outside of the pipes. It makes sense to me, but I'm by no means qualified to say so, that as long as the inner diameter matches up, there is no reason that the setup won't meet any requirements for safety, etc.
The main concern is that by mating two products that don't EXACTLY match up, we may be in danger of voiding his homeowner's insurance. Is this an option, or should he start taking a look at having something fabricated from scratch?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
thanks!

Then Id try a sheet metal shop there. You say 3 wall I know they should be able to make one for you. Not there so ----could you drop the flue pipe down and add on the top or cut the top of the chimney down????????
