I want to replace single fixture with new ceiling fan-
the wire colors don't match- have 2 light grey/1 white-1 white
with yellow stripe coming out of box-
fan has black and white wires-single switch on wall-
this is a new home.

Are any of the wires in the ceiling box connected to each other?
Take the cover plate off the switch, and let us know the color of wires on it, and where they are attached. Once we have that, we can proceed.
