hey,
i'm redoing my kitchen, and wanted to put 2 pendant lights over an island that is coming out from a wall. to countertop is 72" long, so i was figuring first light 24" from wall, and second 24" from first. should the lights be more than 24" apart?
thanks,
birch

That spacing places them equidistant from each other, the wall and the end of the counter, so it would work just fine.

And, if you have seating at the bar, this would provide lighting for the 24" required for each person.

In addition to spacing, you can play around with bulb type (flood/spot or halogen/incandescent), pendant length and type to get the exact coverage you want.
