I've been searching for hours looking for this exact problem on the forum but it's become a big blur so i'm posting a thread, i apologize.

Like the subject kind of says, i'm trying to install a ceiling fan w/lights and a remote.

In the ceiling box there are 4 wires, Red, Black, White and the Ground.
I've hooked up the remote receiver like this:
Receiver Black to Ceiling Black
Receiver White to Ceiling White

The other 3 wires on the other side of the remote receiver got hooked up to the corresponding colors from the fan itself, Blue to Blue, White to White and Black to Black.

Now i look at the wall switch, which was a rotary switch that adjusted the previous fan speed only, there were no lights on the previous fan. There is a red and black connected to it.

I hope i've laid out everything clearly so far. My questions are this..

Since the wall switch has a black and RED, what do i do with the RED in the ceiling box? (I plan on either replacing the rotary switch with a standard switch or since it's on remote, i may not have a switch at all.)

Ok, this has gotten long enough for now, any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks!
