My wife noticed that the grout for the ceramic tile floor in our kitchen has a couple of cracks, ( I have already regrouted it once) so the question she asked was if grout cracks can form if the tiles are either uneven, or if the grout line is too wide, meaning if the grout line is thicker than it should be (like over the tile itself). Does anyone have any insight into this so I don't have to regrout again :wall: :wall:

Movement in floor can cause grout to crack.

It is possible that the grout joint may be too wide for the grout you are using. If you are using unsanded grout and the width of the grout joint is bigger than 1/8" your are using the wrong grout. You need sanded grout for larger than 1/8". The sanded grout does not shrink as much as the unsanded. If you are using sanded grout already then you have other issues.:)
