i have this engine and i am trying to put it on an old ridemower frame and body. it is an 11 horspower briggs and stratton and it has no spark. we have checked the spartk plugs and we are unsure of the wiring. if anyone has a wiring diagram for one or any ideas about the spark issue i would love to know! thanks!

wiring for? You need wiring diagram for the mower brand more than the engine. What's the brand?
look here for possible wiring for engine:

whats the model, type, and code..... if it was made before 83, it should have point/condensor system under the flywheel, otherwise, try and remove the kill wire off the coil.... should fire then, if it doesn't (and has no points) the coil is gapped right (.10) and cleaned up.... the coil sounds to be at fault.

Hi, If all fails you can buy a pointless ignition for that engine from a Briggs dealer. Bolts on with two screws. Takes two minutes to install. Real simple. They work great. Replaces points, condenser and old coil.

It could also be a corroded lead wire end
