Gentlemen,

I have a older (87) model Craftsman 38" Briggs twin cylinder rider. I've overhauled the engine and tranaxle; RUNS like a charm!!! I'm pleased beyoned words. However, the main drag link bar for the steering has broken loose from both ball bushings. The bar is intact but will not stay on the either ball bushing. I've priced the bar at 42 bucks but I'm not sure what holds it on...

Are they plastic insterts for these ball joints or are they some kind of sheet metal slip sleeve that holds the bar over the ball or just hammered on?????

The ball joints are made into the steering link. The new part comes with the joints already installed. They are crimped in.
