I have a 3 bulb ceiling fan light combo. Runs off 2 pull chains and a wall dimmer switch. I can only get 1 bulb to work steadily. If I wiggle the others they will work for a while. Can I clean them or do anything other than replace the light? Will be replacing the light eventually but we don't know what type we are going to want to go with the new decor in the room..

thanks in advance...

In order to do what I will describe, you will need to turn the circuit for this fan off at the breaker. After you are sure it is off, remove the bulbs, and with a pair of needle nose pliers, or hemostats, reach into the socket of the offending bulbs and pull up slightly on the tab in the bottom. Sometimes they flatten out and don't make good contact. It should be springy, so the bulb will push on it when you screw it in. Post back if we can help further.
