i have lost the only key to my patio door it is a double cylinder euro profile lock, how do I remove it to fit a new one, the door is currently locked closed

Hi dubliner,

And welcome to the board. As this is a profile cylinder, it will have to be picked. I suggest giving your local locksmith a call.

Cuedude is correct....however if you are game...and it is outward opening doors...you could look on the outside to see if the hinges are the loose pin variety.

If they are....you could knock the pins out of the hinges and remove the door completely.

You can then cart the whole door to your local locksmith and he/she can do the rest.
