I have removed an ADT Safewatch Plus Entrepreneur from a garage that I tore down. I now want to install the system in the new garage. Will it need to be reprogramed, if so how do I do that. I have downloaded the user manual. This dosen't seem to be of much help. I will need to add one door sensor, other than that everything else will stay the same.
I also have an ADT wireless system in the house. They both use the same horn. This is the reason I want to reuse the system.
Any help would be great.

The Safewatch Plus is either a modified ITI Caretaker Plus, or an ITI Commander 2000. In either case, both systems are _long_ discontinued. If it's a broad and fairly flat system case, then it's the Caretaker. That's your best bet for finding an installer manual.

The transmitters compatible with these systems haven't changed, and are still used for current production GE/ITI and GE/Networx wireless; but the programming for the ADT modified versions vary a bit from the original design, and some things cannot be changed.

On the whole, I would advise you to consider one of the modern systems, like a Concord express, that can use your existing transmitters.

Thanks for the advice. I have been looking at the Concord units and now I need a little more help. I would like to get a model that will be able to open my garage doors from the same wireless keypad. Do you have any segestions as far as a model?
Thanks again for the advice.

Either the express or the ultra will do what you want. Two of the buttons on the wireless remote can be set to activate an ouput that could be used to trip a relay for activating the door opener.

The details depend on the capibilities of the opener for accepting external control inputs, and your electrical knowlege for setting up the relay(s) to do the trick.
