Some critter has burrowed under the deck. Whatever it is, it's large because it not only has thrown out a great deal of sand but also some pretty big pieces of rocks. We live in the country with woods next to us & across the street & have seen woodchucks running around. How can we get rid of this??? We have dogs, but no kids.

Trapping is the best method. You will first need to identify the pest. If you do not see the animal during the day, it is likely a nocturnal animal. Sprinkle flour around the area and check the next morning for track identification. After identification of the animal, it can be determined the best approach to trapping and whether or not their are restrictions in your area about relocation.
