When we bought the house it had a 2 1/2 ton AC which kept the house really cool. After the summer the unit died. We had a friend install a new 2 1/2 ton unit for the next summer. It never cooled the house and was constantly running. This year we decided to do it right. We hired a professional had a new 3 ton unit installed along with the new furnace. It is not cooling the house and keeps running. The air coming out feels cold, the company has come back, they gave it more of a charge but it still does not cool the house.
The only change was we had a new roof put on before the old unit died. Then right after the unit died the roofer had to come back and put ridge vents on the roof which are not the full length of the roof. Could this be affecting the AC?

First question I have is, is the big line on the outside unit (condenser) cold a sweating?
