When we first turn on our air conditioning it cools the entire house with no problems. As the day goes on, the air does not blow as hard and the house begins to heat up. The air conditioning will run all day without the temp going down. The back rooms, beside the intake, stay cool pretty much all the time but the front room and kitchen heat up pretty high. I think it might be a problem with the ducts but since I have no real clue about air conditioning......Someone please help!!! :wall:

You are describing the symptoms of a possible freeze-up. If so, you are probably low on freon. Have a tech check it out.

We already had it cleaned and the freon was filled then....

If freon was added, then you have a leak. Was the leak repaired?

He did not find a leak anywhere and if he did he did not tell me that he fixed it. Would the back rooms of my house cool down if there was a freon leak? It is only hot in the living room and the kitchen...

As the day goes on, the air does not blow as hard and the house begins to heat up.

I assumed from this statement that there is a very noticeable reduction in the amount of air flowing out of the ducts.
But, from your later posts, it appears this may not be the case. It is possible your ducts are incorrectly sized in certain areas. It's also possible your system is under-sized. You never mentioned if this is a new problem or an old problem that you always experienced.

I suggest you get another tech and explain in detail your issues.

Good luck.

Is this a new problem or has it always been this way? Is the sun on the side of the house where the front room and kitchen are in the afternoon?

We just bought the house so i do not know if it is a new or old problem. I tried to call the people we bought it from but they will not answer the phone. I thought it might be the ducts or the sun but really wasn't sure.
