I'm currentlu redoing my kitchen, and wanted to replace 1 existing center light with 3 recessed lights over a counter. The upper cabinets are standard 12" deep and the counter is standard 24" deep. Is there a standard measurement from the wall to put recessed lighting? I was thinking 20" to center of light would work. Is there a standard measure?

We generally try to center the fixtures over the edge of the countertop.
