Hi,
My thermostat no longer controls the blower. I disconnected the G wire and the fan stayed on. I assume this is a controls/electronic issue.
When I first turn on the power the compressor kicks on and cools the house for about 5 mins, then it shuts down. No clicking noise can be heard outside.
Reset all breakers. Is it safe to assume that I have done all that I can and it's time to call a tech?

Unless you have a multi-meter, know how to use it, & are comfortable working on live electrial circuits, you do need to call a tech.

thanks. quick update, the status indicator on the control board inside the air handler sometimes shows normal ops, other times it is just off. No error code. There is a clicking sound on the board when it does kick on and off.
thanks again.
thanks again.
