I am having trouble with my go-cart- it was not governed before- now when it is ridden for a little bit- it will govern itself. How do I prevent this from happening?

You are going to have to tell us a lot more. You say your cart was not governed before. Does that mean that you removed the govenor? You say that it is governed now. Did you reconnect the govenor? If someone did not reconnect the govenor than it is probably not a govenor issue. Does the engine start sputtering, does it rev up to an rpm and rev no higher? When does it do this: soon after starting, after running at high poweer for a while???
