I am going to be painting kitchen cabinets for a couple of people and I am looking for suggestions of what paint people recommend.
At this time I am planning on a Sherwin Williams paint that a friend recommended. Said he used it. It is called EverClean if I remember right.
I really want to use a water based paint because of the ease of clean up.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Personally I like Benjamin moore paints (mid to high quality) the best. SW is not bad either. I have found that the darker the color the better they cover. The whites are the ones that end up needing a couple coats course cabinets are usually white. I like a water base too. I am a fairly neat painter but I hate to have to deal with the chemicles need to clean up with oil.

If you are using SW paint, I'd recommend the ProClassic line, either Alkyd or Waterborne- both are great for cabinets when you don't want to see brush strokes.

Ben Moores satin Impervo waterbase flows out to a very nice brush finish.

I wouldn't recomend using latex on cabinets - most don't dry hard enough to prevent problems. I can highly recomend SWP's proclassic waterborne. Although it brushes a little different than latex or oil, it dries fast, low odor and most importantly, dries to a hard non yellowing finish.
Waterborne or oil base are always the preffered coatings for cabinets.

Two waterborne products:
Ben Moore's Satin waterborne Impervo
Sherwin Williams waterborne ProClassic
(the BM is still available in oil-so make sure it's the waterborne one...not sure about the SW)
If the cabs are latex right now, don't forget a really good cleaning and a nice sanding
If they are stained, don't forget a good solvent-based primer/sealer

I'd go with ProClassic, and if I'm not mistaken Everclean has been discontinued.

I believe you are right - also everclean is a wall paint, not really suited for woodwork.
