Gardening and Horticulture - Perennial Bed Irrigation-Need Ideas

I'm preparing a 25' x 8' area for a perennial bed (there will be over 50 plants). Right now the area has river rock, fabric, and hose running through it for a drip line system (we asked the landscaper who installed the underground sprinkler system to put it in "just in case"). I'd like to know what kind of irrigation I should be planning for the flower bed. Since the hose for a drip line is already there, I'd like to utilize it. I can't imagine have a little head dripping for each plant, but I'd like to avoid doing mini sprinkler heads too (just because of evaporation/water waste issues...we live in Colorado). If I used soaker hoses, would I just splice into the existing drip line hose and attach it that way? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!!!

you might look at bubbler heads. kinda like overgrown drip heads.
a couple spray head might be needed depending on which plants you use

The bubbler heads might be a good idea, but I like the soaker hose idea as you can put it in any configuration as you move plants around or change things.

If I implemented the soaker hose idea, would I be able to connect it to the existing hose that's been put in as a "foundation" for a drip line system? If so, how?
