My outside cond unit fan stops working, but I can hear the compressor humming.
This happened befor 2 months ago for a few hours then worked again.
A/C guy came out said it was fine.
Now same thing.

Do i need to maybe replace the fan motor, or comp cap, or maybe the olp is going bad and prematurely tripping.

pleasr help, I'm in texas and ac guy cant come out till friday.

When unit is ON and fan dont run spin the fan blade and see if it will start.
IF so can be the fan capacitor. If not Id say new motor. Make sure new motor is same RPM, HP and turns the same way. Also new cap. for it.

Yup that did it. Spun fan and it kicked right on.
When this happened before (2 months ago). That didn't work.

So this means I just need a new fan capacitor?

For the cost try it for sure. Dont run the unit with the fan off at all.
