had my central air unit serviced with freon last wednesday. it worked fine for a few days. now a coil is freezing up and so is large outside pipe. fillter has been changed and a coil is clean. thank you

Did they say how much freon you needed??
Also was there air comming out of the registers after the service call?

I had that same problem in the past and it turned out to be that the coils had a slow leak and had to be replaced. Have the tech use the sniffer and pinpoint the problem. The refrigerant doesn't just vanish from the system. Do your homework before you have someone replace components, I didn't and got ripped off, but I learned my lesson, good luck

Didnt he even check for a leak???? Or he could have put a shot of Dytel in it so later on when he comes back the leak can show up as a red spot.

You have a big leak. Get a tech who can find it.
