Hello everyone, I am new here, so be gentle. :)
I have a GE window unit in a medium sized bedroom, the room is larger by about a foot both ways when compared to specs on box when originally purchased almost 5 months ago. It has cooled well and is basically run 24/7 except for filter cleaning, etc. The room is an office/studio, so there are many electronics that need cooling, I am in texas, so heat is a given. Recently, it hasn't really cooled correctly, the air is cold, but doesn't blow very hard on the highest setting and coolest temp setting. It is extremely hot in this room. I have cleaned the filter, and the metal grate, and the coils, any ideas as to what is going on, or what is not?
I notice it used to make a vibrating sound when it would really kick on, but it doesn't seem to do that anymore. :(
any help is greatly appreciated. :)

the compressor wont kick on probably.
you said it dont make the noise anymore? so thats probably what it is...its probably a faulty thermostat or a loose connection.
and 1 foot both ways wont affect the way it cools...so its the perfect size.
