What do you suggest to anchor a single ring towel bar that has a heat vent right behind the drywall? I have to stick to this location and I don't usually trust the standard expanding plastic anchors in drywall. Any suggestions??

If there's a sheetmetal duct back there, you could put a couple 1" or 1 1/2" pan head sheetmetal screws right through the towel ring bracket, that would go right into the duct. Only drawback would be that if the screws ever disappear you'd have to plug those holes w/ something.
