Can someone tell me if this is a weed or not? It's about three and a half feet tall already. The people that lived here before were into "wildflowers". A lot of their flowers I wouldn't consider flowers so I don't know what this is.

I have that growing in my garden and I think it's coneflower - Echinacea. There are different varieties, but the purple coneflower is very popular. Great wildflower. I leave the seedheads on for the winter and the birds like to eat the seeds.

Looks like an Aster to me. Not a weed. Definitely not Echinacea either.

Could be daisies. I'll post a picture up when I get a chance. My dad's daisies look like that especially how the leaves are "pokey" like that. In any case, wait for a flower to pop up!
Here they are:

Since they are already 3 1/2' tall I also considered these, but the leaves you have are very serrated:
New York Aster:

Please post a pic when they bloom. That would be most helpful.
