I replaced an older pull switch fan. The ceiling fan wiring was black to black, white to white and ground to ground.

When I installed the intellitouch wall control, I can't get the light to work. The wall switch has one white wire and one black wire. I've tried a few different combinations but each time only the fan turns on even when wired inccorectly (for exaple the light button turns the fan on).

Can someone please help, I've grown prett frustrated. I've tried looking at the manual and the wiring shown on this page: http://www.casablancafanrepair.com/do_it_yourself/wall_control_wiring.html

With regards to the link, I just have a single black wire and a single white wire (like a light switch).

 :wall:

Which unit are you trying to use? There are several all on the link provided.

The very first one, the W-32. The fan is a Bel Air Halo model.
Wiring for one switch, one fan. NOt sure what 2-way means.

I just realized the fan also doesn't work properly. It only turns on and off meaning one speed or off.
