I've been successfully using Deer Off to keep deer from eating our hostas for about two years now. My question is, how often do I need to apply it?

I've been pretty diligent about applying it once or twice a week, and am probably overdoing it. I've read that it resists rain and can last up to 3 months ... but I just don't believe it really stays around for 3 months, based on my past experience (when I was less diligent about it :-) ).

For anybody who has had success with this stuff, how often do you use it? It's kind of a pain to go around the yard twice a week.

Thanks,

Mark

I planted a new tree a couple years ago and even with a net around it, the deer knobbled the top off constantly. I got some of that liquid fence type stuff (cant remember exact brand), which works awesomely well. The longest I've gone between applying it was about 2 months, and ever since I started using it, not even a leaf has been nibbled on. I usually put it on every month or so.

Thanks for the reply. It's looking like I can safely go to monthly applications.

Thanks again!

Mark

p.s. perhaps the brand you used is called Liquid Fence?
