Replaced heating element last year when heat stopped, that part still works. Heat went out again a few days ago, everything else works, motor, timer etc. Checked all possible components with ohmmeter, everything checked out okay except for thermostat just above heating element on outside case, part number 3399848, high limit tstat I believe.Purchased a new one last week, part number was different and did not look exactly the same but was told would work. Installed part and dryer heat worked for one day only. Took apart and rechecked and same part had failed again, bypassed tstat and heat does work.Did I get a bad or wrong part or is possibly something knocking this one out? Please advise.
