We have a damaged spot of wall next to the bath/shower. We had a plumber come in and check as part of our 1 year new construction warranty. They said it was from water coming out of the shower. Does this seem plausible and if so how do we correct this? Part of the wall has crumbled away. Any advice is much appreciated

If you are using shower curtains this might lead to user habits causing the problem.

Need more info on what the plumber said.
