I have an older metal walled stall shower in a 1950s house with a concrete shower floor. The concrete floor has a speckled pattern on it- nice but it looks like mildew to my tenants and in fact it does stay a bit damp for a while as the slope does not drain totally. I tried painting it, twice, with latex concrete paint but nthe paint peeled. Can I install one of those acrylic or fiberglass shower bottoms over the concrete pan? I don't want to tear it all out as it works fine.
