I have a cast iron teapot which the interior is rusted. I need to clean the rust and refinish the enamel. Can some one please tell me if the cast iron tub refinishing kit will do the job, whether it's toxic for human consumption? Is there any other solution? Thanks.

Not only would bath tub coating likely be toxic, it would not withstand the extremes of heat when boiling water for tea. Cracking and crazing of enamel interior allows moisture to contact cast iron and cause rust and harbor bacteria. It is best to use the teapot as a decorative item rather than for brewing tea.
